The Lord of Glory (Majesty)
1 Corinthians 2:7-8
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Creation shows forth the Majesty of our Lord. When placed under the eyes of magnification, a snowflake and a star declares the Glory of the Lord, and the firmament shows forth His handiwork (Ps. 19:1). When you look at a palace, the décor used is a reflection of the king. Just as it is with our homes the decorations are a reflection of us and who we are. So it is with our Lord, His creation is a reflection of Himself.
Because the Lord is clothed in splendor, (that is His glory) to pray in Jesus’ name, is to saturate ourselves with His excellence and majesty, in prayer. Paul told the Roman believers to “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ” (Ro. 13:14). We should be careful not to leave our homes without clothing ourselves in the Majesty of Christ.
As you travel today, declare the glory of the Lord in all that you do. We mean not to be redundant, but as you declare His majesty, His glory, and all that He has created, do not forget that in all circumstances, situations, and opportunities put on, clothe yourself, with His glory.
Allow yourself to be an eye-witness to the majesty of our Lord and Saviour.
