Hebrews 1:3

The Excellence of His Glory

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

Moses was commanded by God to rise early and come up to the mountain with two tablets of stone in his hands.  It was here that he would receive the Ten Commandments from God.

When Moses came down from the mountain his appearance had changed; there was a glow about him. He had just experienced the presence of the God. Exodus 34:29. As he returned with the Ten Commandments in his hands the people of Israel could see the remarkable difference of Moses’ face. The brightness of God’s glory penetrated the skin of Moses, and he didn’t know it. Moses had been in the presence of God before - the burning bush, the first receiving of the commandments and the second receiving of the commandments of God. But this experiences was different. Moses experienced the Glory of God. What a place to be, to be so close to God that when others see you they will know that you have been in the presence of God. Enjoy the brightness of His glory and share it with others.
