Revelation 1:8
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
We have come once again to a passage of scripture that is so familiar to us that is can lose its power and its significance to us. It is so important that in the Book of Revelation, John refers to this phrase four times “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending” Rev. 1:8, 1:11, 21:4-6 and 22:12-13.
Rev. 1:8 He is the Christ of eternity.
Rev. 1:11 “I am the Alpha and Omega, beginning and the end” refers to the Lordship of Christ and His reign over the church.
Rev. 21:6 and 22:13 He is the Christ our reward. He will continue to wipe away our tearful eyes. He is our rewarder and will make all things new. He is our fountain of living water bringing forth life.
Let me encourage you to pray the name of Jesus, Alpha and Omega. It is His desire to be with you in every aspect of your day, the beginning and the end. He is the all in all of your day.
